2009 Season: After signing in July, Jan Rehacek made his professional debut in the Gulf Coast League, appearing in four games. He allowed one hit, one unearned run and a walk in six innings, while striking out seven. He had started the year with the Konica Minolta Pioniers in the Dutch Hoofdklasse, where he went 3-1 with a save and an ERA of 1.48 and 27 strikeouts (12 BB) in 24 1/3 innings. His busy year continued with the IBAF Baseball World Cup with 4 1/3 solid innings (3 H, 3 BB, 4 SO). In October Rehacek pitched for the Arrows Ostrava in the Czech Extraleague playoffs. He had a 2-0 record with an ERA of 1.17 in five games. He struck out 18 (6 BB) in 15 1/3 innings.
