Prospects in 2009 – Dwayne Kemp – AZL Cubs

During the winter months we are going to look back at the performances of Europeans, who played in the United States during the 2009 season.

Birth date: 02/24/1988 in Rotterdam, Netherlands
Throws/Bats: Right/Switch
Organization: Chicago Cubs
Position: Infielder

2009 Season: In his second professional season Dwayne Kemp stayed all year long in the Arizona Summer League batting .248/.303/.416 with one homerun, six triples, two doubles, 13 runs scored and twelve RBI in 25 games. He split time at second and third base. He also was on the roster of the Dutch national team during the last two games of the World Baseball Classic, but didn’t play.
