2009 Season: In his third professional season Kalian Sams split time between the Midwest League and the Northwest League. He started the year with the Clinton Lumber Kings batting .161 (OBP .230/SLG .339) with a homerun, two triples and three doubles in 16 games. He scored four times and drove in six. He was optioned to the Everett Aqua Sox in June and had six hits (.375/.412/1.000), including three homeruns and a double, in 16 at-bats over four games. An injury ended his season early.
