We continue our review series of Europe’s baseball leagues after the Netherlands and Italy with the German Baseball-Bundesliga.

2011 Record: 14-10
2011 Ranking: 3rd place in southern division after regular season. After one year hiatus the Mainz Athletics were back in the playoffs, but lost in three four games to the Solingen Alligators in the quarterfinals.

Runs Allowed: 103 (2nd)

Best Batter: Max Boldt. The German national teamer batted .379/.466/.621 during the regular season with five homeruns, six doubles, 22 runs and 17 RBI.
