2011 Season: One of the few “veterans” among the European minor leaguers, the 27-year-old seven-footer Loek van Mil pitched his sixth professional season in 2011. He played for the Double-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels in Arkansas. He went 3-5 with an ERA of 2.04 in 30 games (one start). He struck out 46 batters in 66 1/3 innings, walking 23. He posted career bests in ERA, WHIP, innings pitched, strikeouts and strikeout-to-walk ratio.
