2011 Season: Kalian Sams played his fifth professional season in the United States in 2011. He split time between the High Desert Mavericks in High A and the Clinton LumberKings in Single A. He batted a combined .231/.291/.483 with 24 homeruns, four triples, 16 doubles, 58 runs, 66 RBI and 26 stolen bases in 113 games. In October he joined the Dutch National Team in their triumph at the IBAF Baseball World Cup in Panama, going 5-for-24 with two homeruns, seven runs and four RBI in nine games.
