Prospects in 2011 – Donald Lutz – Dayton Dragons

Organization: Cincinnati Reds
Position: First Base/Outfield

2011 Season: The German first baseman Donald Lutz made another step forward in his development becoming a legit prospect in the Cincinnati Reds organization. In his fourth season in professional baseball he was promoted to the Dayton Dragons of the Midwest League. He batted .301/.358/.492 with 20 homeruns, 3 triples, 23 doubles, 85 runs scored and 75 RBI in 123 games. He got rewarded by the Reds, as they added him to the 40-man roster, which automatically means an invitation to Major League Spring Training.
