2009 Season: In his second professional year the 18-year-old Jan Baldee batted a mere .024 (OBP .070/SLG .024) in 18 games for the GCL Astros of the Gulf Coast League. He had just one hit in 41 at bats and walked twice, while striking out 24 times. He also made seven errors in 29 chances in eight games as a shortstop. He began his pro career last year, playing in the Venezuelan Summer League.
