2011 in Review – Czech Extraleague – Eagles Prague

After taking a statistical look back in Baseball in the Netherlands, Italy, Germany and Spain, we’re now bringing the Czech Extraleague to the plate.

Eagles Prague

2011 Record: 20-15
2011 Ranking: 4th place in Extraleague following regular season. The Eagles Prague improved heavily under the new leadership of head coach Andy Berglund following a struggling start in the 2011 season. During the playoffs they met with AVG Draci Brno, which eliminated the Eagles in three games.
Runs Scored: 201 (6th)
Runs Allowed: 209 (4th)

Best Batter: Michal Zyma. He batted .388/.444/.490 with five doubles, five runs and nine RBI in 15 games.
Best OPS: Charles Hugo Magedanz .985
Most Homeruns: Tomas Sykora 4

Most Runs Scored: Martin Laube 23

Best Pitcher: Matej Husek. He went 9-5 with an ERA of 3.19 in 20 games. He struck out 86 batters in 118 1/3 innings, walking 54.

Best ERA Reliever: Jakub Jonak 4.22
