We continue our review series of Europe’s baseball leagues after the Netherlands and Italy with the German Baseball-Bundesliga.

Dohren Wild Farmers

2011 Record: 17-23 (including playdowns)
2011 Ranking: 6th place in northern division. The Dohren Wild Farmers started the year by winning just one of the first 11 games. But they finally found their rhythm and slowly moved up the ladder to avoid relegation into the second division and securing a spot in the Baseball-Bundesliga for a third consecutive year.
Runs Scored: 122 (7th)
Runs Allowed: 199 (5th)

Best Batter: Jeff Rustico. The American catcher, who already agreed to come back for a second season, batted .421/.492/.477 with six doubles, 23 runs and 13 RBI in 28 games, 25 of them behind the plate.
