2009 in Review – Austrian Baseball League – Union Kufstein Vikings

Even though we already started the year 2010, we will continue to look back at the 2009 season in Europe’s elite leagues. After the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Germany, Czech Republic and Sweden, we will continue with the Austrian Baseball League.

Union Kufstein Vikings

2009 Record: 14-14
2009 Ranking: 4th place in the Austrian Baseball League after regular season. The Vikings later were eliminated by the SUPFERUND Wanderers Vienna in the semi-finals.

Runs Allowed: 183

Best Batter: Chris Piano. He batted .411 (OBP .511/SLG .598) with three homeruns, one triple, seven doubles, 36 runs scored and 32 RBI in 28 games.
