2011 in Review – French Elite League – Stade Toulousain

We start the new year with the continuation of our review series. After Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, Spain and the Czech Republic, we are entering French territory.

Stade Toulousain

2011 Record: 11-17
2011 Ranking: 6th place in French Elite League. Stade Toulousain had nothing to do with the cellar of the French Elite League, but also wasn’t able to enter the top four. They still ended up in the playoffs due to a format change. Toulouse faced the Rouen Huskies in the quarterfinals and lost the best-of-three series in two games.
Runs Scored: 172 (5th)
Runs Allowed: 224 (6th)

Best Batter: Joss Mendoza Ordonez. He batted .411/.482/.537 with two triples, eight doubles, 25 runs scored and 21 RBI in 27 games (26 starts).

Best Pitcher: James Murrey. He went 6-2 with a stellar ERA of 1.11 in eight starts. He struck out 70 batters in 56 2/3 innings, walking 21.

Most Strikeouts: James Murrey 70
Most Walks: Thomas Dourlens 22
