2010 in Review – Swedish Elitserien – Sundbyberg Heat



While the 2011 season in European Baseball slowly is approaching, we’re finishing up our review series to last year’s action with the Swedish Elitserien. Already back in the dugout are Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, France, Czech Republic, Belgium, Austria and Croatia.

2010 Record: 16-7
2010 Ranking: 3rd place in Swedish Elitserien following the regular season. In the semi-finals Sundbyberg Heat was leading 9-8 in the middle of the ninth in the decisive third match against the Karlskoga Bats, but lost 9-10 in the end and missed out on the Swedish Finals.
Runs Scored: 195 (3rd)
Runs Allowed: 131 (2nd)

Best Batter: Rob Learned. He batted .442 (OBP .564/SLG .622) with a homerun, a triple, six doubles, 27 runs and ten RBI in 78 plate appearances for the Heat in 2010.

Most Homeruns: Philip Gajzler 6
