Tampa Bay Rays Coaches Speaker at 2012 Italian Coach Convention
Two coaches of the Tampa Bay Rays staff of manager Joe Maddon will speak at the next Italian Coach Convention, which will be held from January 20 to 22, 2012 in Peschiera del Garda, Verona. Hitting coach Derek Shelton and pitching coach Jim Hickey will make the trip, according to the announcement on the website of the Italian Baseball and Softball Federation (FIBS). The Rays won the wild card in the American League this year, before losing to the Texas Rangers in the Division Series.
