2009 in Review – German Baseball-Bundesliga – Dortmund Wanderers

A few weeks ago, we started our review series. After the Dutch Hoofdklasse, the Italian Baseball League and the Spanish Division de Honor, we now direct our attention to the German Baseball-Bundesliga.

Dortmund Wanderers

2009 Record: 15-9
2009 Ranking: 3rd place in northern division of Baseball-Bundesliga. The Wanderers were eliminated by the Heidenheim Heidekoepfe in the quarterfinals, losing in three games.

Best Batter: Trevor Howell. The 26-year-old American catcher/first baseman batted .411 (OBP .490/SLG .644) with four homeruns, 21 runs scored and 21 RBI in 24 games during the regular season.
