The COMPUTER SOS TEX TOWN TIGERS have defended their title in the Dutch Hoofdklasse Softball. They completed the sweep in the best-of-five championship series this weekend with two more shutouts against IBER LENGUA TERRASVOGELS. Lindsey Meadows pitched in all three games of the Holland Series and received the MVP Award. She only allowed one hit in the last twelve innings of the finals and didn’t give up a single run in the whole series.

On Saturday the TIGERS won by a final score of 2-0 thanks to two runs in the fourth on a sac bunt by Petra van Heijst and a RBI single by Karin Tuk. Lindsey Meadows (W 2-0) issued only one hit and three walks in seven scoreless innings. She struck out eight. Aimee Murch (L 0-2) surrendered two runs on five hits and a bb going the distance. She collected seven strikeouts.

Lindsey Meadows (W 3-0) led the TIGERS to a 9-0 shutout in five innings on Sunday, completing the sweep with a perfect game. She struck out four, while not allowing a single base runner. Her teammates provided Meadows with an early 5-0 cushion after the opening period. Virginie Anneveld led the offense with three hits, two doubles, three runs and three RBI in three at-bats. Merel Oosterveld and Meadows scored two runs apiece. Aimee Murch (L 0-3) took the loss after five hits, five runs and a walk in the first inning. She was replaced by Femke van Dusschoten in the second.
