Lindsey Meadows struck out 16 batters to lead defending Dutch Softball champion TEX TOWN TGERS to a 1-0 shutout in game one of the Holland Series against TERRASVOGELS. She allowed just four hits and a walk in seven scoreless innings. The lone run of the night came across plate in the bottom of the sixth, when Britt Vonk scored all the way from first after a botched fielding play on a sac bunt try by Meadows. Aimee Murch took the hard-luck loss, giving up two hits, an unearned run and two bb in six innings. She collected six strikeouts.
