A walk-off RBI single by Juan Angrisano in the bottom of the eleventh lifted UGF Bologna to a 4-3 win over Cariparma in game two of their series on Friday night at the Gianni Falchi stadium in Bologna. Fortitudo had to even the score in the bottom of the ninth with a RBI single by Stefano Landuzzi to force extra innings. Parma had erased an early 0-2 deficit through single runs in the seventh, eighth and ninth. Cody Cillo (BOL) struck out eight in 6 2/3 innings, allowing just an unearned run on three hits and a whopping six walks. Marco Grifantini (PAR) issued five hits, two runs and three bb in six innings. Fabio Milano picked up the win, Justin Cicatello took the loss.

The Pirates needed a near flawless pitching staff and a seventh-inning homerun by Jhonny Carvajal to win 1-0 in Palermo against the Warriors. Jim Brower (W) struck out seven in seven scoreless innings, allowing just three hits and a walk. Alex Serrano retired the last six batters to complete the shutout. Yorkin Ferraras (L) made just one big mistake and had to take the loss after eight innings, seven hits, a run and seven bb, pitching in and out of several jams in the process.
T&A San Marino – Montepaschi Grosseto 5-4

T&A San Marino overcame a 0-4 deficit after two innings en route to a 5-4 win over Montepaschi Grosseto. Carlos Duran tied the game with a two-run single in the fifth and scored the go-ahead run moments later, when Orioles’ first baseman Ivanon Coffie threw the ball away after a groundout to third by Max De Biase. Gabriele Ermini scored twice for Grosseto. Henry Bonilla (W) settled in after the tough beginning and pitched six innings to receive the win. He surrendered six hits, four runs (3 ER) and four walks. Jose Escalona closed it out with three perfect frames. Juan Figueroa (L) gave up seven hits, five runs and two walks in five innings.
De Angelis Godo Knights – Danesi Nettuno 1-8

Manny Alexander, Lino Connell (4-5, 3 RBI), Giuseppe Mazzanti and Vinicio Sparanga hit homeruns, as Nettuno won 8-1 in Godo to open the three-games series. Kris Wilson (W) did his job on the mound, allowing one run on eight hits in six innings, striking out nine. Keith Ramsey (L) allowed ten hits and six runs in five innings for the loss.
