Birth Date: 09/05/1986 in San Juan de la Rambla, Tenerife/Spain

Organization: San Diego Padres
Position: Pitcher

2010 Season: The 24-year-old right-hander Eric Gonzalez played his third professional season after being drafted by the San Diego Padres in 2008. He began the year with the Lake Elsinore Storm in the California League and went 6-5 with an ERA of 7.26 in 29 games (two starts). He struck out 42 batters in 56 1/3 innings, while walking 16. He finished the year with the Portland Beavers in the Pacific Coast League, where he gave up one run on three hits and a walk in three innings during his lone appearance.
