Prospects in 2010 – Ruben Rijkhof – DSL Braves



Like last year we’re taking a look back at the performances by the Europeans who played in affiliated minor league ball in the United States in 2010.

Throws/Bats: Right/Right
Organization: Atlanta Braves
Position: Outfield

2010 Season: After signing his pro contract with the Atlanta Braves organization in the spring of 2009, the 18-year-old Dutch outfielder Ruben Rijkhof who grew up in Spain made his debut in the Dominican Summer League this summer. He appeared in only four games for the DSL Braves, collecting one hit in twelve at-bats. He walked four times, scored three runs and drove in another. However he also struck out eight times in 16 plate appearances.
