2009 Season: The Belgian outfielder Thomas de Wolf, who began his career with the Hoboken Pioneers, signed with the New York Mets organization in 2008 and made his professional debut this summer in the Dominican Summer League. He played in 43 games, mainly in left field, batting .254/.432/.290 with 35 hits, three doubles, one triple, 29 runs scored and 16 RBI. He walked 39 times, while striking out in 49 at-bats.
