After getting beaten up 0-16 in the opener of the Holland Series on Thursday, the PIONIERS came back on Saturday to even the best-of-five series with a 4-2 win over NEPTUNUS. Game three will be played on Sunday at the Familiestadion in Rotterdam.
KONICA MINOLTA took a fast 1-0 lead in the opening frame when Jefferson Muzo tripled and scored on a groundout by Mark Duursma. DOOR countered with RBI singles by Sharnol Adriana and Lennart Koster in the third to go up 2-1. They had the chance to blow things wide open, but they left the bases loaded.

The next batter Bart Sabel got hit by a pitch, so Hoofddorp could regain the lead. They added an insurance run in the seventh on a RBI single by Mark Duursma. Muzo scored for the third time on the day.
