Half way through it

Posted on April 25, 2008April 25, 2008 by philipp

On May 25th the first six teams of the Belgian first division advance to a second round to determine the participants in the Belgian Series in September. This Sunday we are half way through the schedule of the preliminary round. Of course several of the clubs have a few remaining games more than the other due to the postponements at the start of the year. Nonetheless, the cellar-bound clubs in the standings need some wins. Else they will compete against relegation for the reminder of the year.

The KANGAROOS and the CATS are currently outside the top six. BRUSSELS already played against the favorites ROYAL GREYS, PIONEERS and STARS. Now they have to start winning. They will face the ANGELS this weekend. They have a big chance to close the gap to the teams in front of them, as MERCHTEM and the SQUIRRELS are underdogs in their duels against MERKSEM and HOBOKEN. The fourth match-up is between MORTSEL and BRASSCHAAT.
