Godo promotes Pietro Briggi to IBL

Posted on February 8, 2010 by philipp

The Italian Baseball League club in Godo has promoted the 24-year-old right-handed pitcher Pietro Briggi onto its first-division roster. He comes from Verona, which will be the IBL2 affiliate for Godo in the upcoming season. Briggi began his career senior player career with Pastrengo in the Serie C before going to the Serie A2 club Verona in 2005. In 2009 he had an 11-1 record with an ERA of 3.10 in 18 games (17 starts). He struck out 79 in 110 1/3 innings, walking 47. He is the third player to receive the promotion into the IBL by Godo after Lucas Montalbetti and Francesco Grigoletto.
