Final Standings of Mister Baseball’s European Top 50

Posted on November 12, 2008November 9, 2009 by philipp

The baseball seasons in Europe are over and we have updated Mister Baseball’s European Top 50. L&D AMSTERDAM not only won the national championship in the Netherlands. They also jumped into first place of our standings, only percentage points in front of the two Italian Baseball League teams DANESI NETTUNO and T&A SAN MARINO. CORENDON KINHEIM, which was in first place last year and at the midway point of the 2008 season, dropped to fourth. Thanks to their good performance in the European Cups the FC BARCELONA finished in fifth, just above the MARLINS PUERTO CRUZ, which had won the national championship in Spain. MONTEPASCHI GROSSETO, DOOR NEPTUNUS, the BUCHBINDER LEGIONAERE and the ROUEN HUSKIES round up the top ten.

Well, I’m aware that some of the stronger European leagues are still under way, but there hasn’t been an update of the Top 50 all season. Are we to expect the standings getting updated by the end of the season?

Due to the different European Cup calendar this year, there was no real first and second half in European Baseball this season; so unfortunately no update during the year. We will publish new standings in October.

Great, thought you would do so. Can’t wait to see the new standings, even though my Legionäre are going to drop quite a few places.
