MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred did a couple of Q&As this week. The Associated Press asked him about MLB Games in London and he confirmed that they are talking about the 2017 season.
“We are very interested in playing there, and we’re working hard on that one,” Manfred told the AP during an interview on his first anniversary as baseball commissioner. “I don’t think it will be an opener because of the weather issues. It would be later in the season.”
As reported at the end of last year, Major League Baseball apparently looks at the Olympic Stadium from 2012 as potential venue.
