CB Sant Boi adds Carlos Fente to 2009 Roster

Posted on January 31, 2009January 31, 2009 by philipp

A few days ago, we reported that Carlos Fente will leave EL LLANO for a Catalonian club. Now we received the confirmation. CB SANT BOI signed the talented pitcher. Last season Fente had a 2-1 record with an ERA of 2.53 in eight games (five starts) for the Gijon-based club. He struck out 19 batters in 46 1/3 innings, while walking 17. He also had a solid season at the plate with a .277 batting average (OBP .330/SLG .325) with eleven runs scored and four RBI in 83 at bats over 22 games. He might get a chance to replace Yoel Hernandez as one of the two starters, as the Spanish National Team pitcher is joining the Italian Baseball League club DANESI NETTUNO.
