AVG Draci hopes for dry circumstances in Olomouc

Posted on May 1, 2008 by philipp

In the Czech Extraliga the teams hope for a game day without postponements. Nine games were cancelled the past two weeks due to rain. Today KRC ALTRON and MZLU BRNO open the fourth game day. They will resume this series on Sunday in Brno with a doubleheader. Both clubs have three wins and are ranked third and fourth in the standings. Jakub Jonak (ERA 1.88) and Matej Husek (ERA 0.00 in 9 IP) are off to good starts for KRC. EXPRESS relies on Marian Gajdos (ERA 2.84) and Vojtech Jelinek (ERA 9.90). The latter could be replaced by Pavel Jozek (ERA 2.25) or Marek Audes (ERA 1.42)

Last year’s champion AVG DRACI played just two matches so far and hopes to stay undefeated against SKOKANI OLOMOUC. Martin Schneider and Radek Prochazka certainly hope that they are not rusty on the mound. SKOKANI will counter with David Cole Reynolds (ERA 5.56) and Vojtech Holicky (ERA 1.50).
