The TORNADOS delayed the crowning ceremony of the German Baseball Champion for a week. They won game four on Sunday afternoon 7-5 and forced a decisive game five in Regensburg next Saturday.

After losing the third match of the best-of-five series on Saturday evening, the MANNHEIM offense came out firing at the start of the fourth. They scored in each of the first four frames for a 7-0 lead. The rally was capped by a bases clearing double by Jens Heymer and highlighted by a Sebastian Nowak solo homerun.

But the BUCHBINDER LEGIONAERE tried to come back. Mic Weigl brought them on the board with a solo shot in the fifth. Klaus Hopfensperger started a four-run rally with a solo homerun by his own in the seventh. Ludwig Glaser, Marcus Gienger and Rodney Gessmann also had RBIs. But with Gessmann on third and one out ended the threat, as Philipp Howard and Donald Lutz hit into outs.

Eddie Aucoin pitched 7 2/3 innings for the win, allowing nine hits, five runs and a walk. He struck out five. Martin Almstetter gave up five hits, seven runs (5 ER) and five base on balls. Benedikt Antwi replaced him and did a nice job on the mound, as he held REGENSBURG in the game with five innings of two hit, two-walk relief.
