2011 in Review – French Elite League – Montpellier Barracudas

We start the new year with the continuation of our review series. After Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, Spain and the Czech Republic, we are entering French territory.

Montpellier Barracudas

2011 Record: 16-12
2011 Ranking: 4th place in the French Elite League following regular season. The Montpellier Barracudas moved past the Pessac Panthers and Templiers Senart to reach the French Elite League Finals. In the best-of-five series the ‘Cudas blew a 2-0 lead to lose in five games to the Rouen Huskies.

Runs Allowed: 127 (3rd)

Best Batter: Anthony Cros. Back for a full season in France, he batted .416/.573/.753 with four homeruns, four triples, six doubles, 33 runs scored and 24 RBI in 24 games (23 starts).
