2009 in Review – Austrian Baseball League – Vienna Metrostars

Even though we already started the year 2010, we will continue to look back at the 2009 season in Europe’s elite leagues. After the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Germany, Czech Republic and Sweden, we will continue with the Austrian Baseball League.

Vienna Metrostars

2009 Record: 13-15
2009 Ranking: 6th place in Austrian Baseball League after regular season. The former champion Metrostars missed the playoffs for a second straight year.

Best Batter: Peter Ferak Jr. He batted .362 (OBP .475/SLG .511) with a homerun, a triple, nine doubles, 23 runs scored and 21 RBI in 26 games.
