2009 in Review – Italian Baseball League – Montepaschi Grosseto

During the next couple of weeks, maybe months, we are going to look back at the 2009 season. We started with the Dutch Hoofdklasse. Next up: the Italian Baseball League.

2009 Record: 17-25
2009 Ranking: 6th Place in Italian Baseball League. The 2007 Italian champion missed the playoffs by seven games. In the Coppa Italia tournament they were eliminated in the first phase with just two wins in six games against DE ANGELIS GODO and DANESI NETTUNO.

Best Batter: Raul Marval. He batted .310 (OBP .408/SLG .476) with four homeruns, eleven runs scored and 18 RBI in 36 games.
