2010 in Review – Dutch Hoofdklasse – Corendon Kinheim

After starting into the annual review season with the Italian Baseball League, we’re continuing with the Dutch Hoofdklasse.

2010 Record: 30-11
2010 Ranking: 2nd place in Dutch Hoofdklasse following regular season. After a pretty successful regular season Corendon Kinheim missed out on the trip to the Holland Series, when they lost in four games to L&D Amsterdam in the semi-finals.
Runs Scored: 248 (2nd)
Runs Allowed: 133 (2nd)

Best Batter: Dirk van’t Klooster. The veteran outfielder who returned to the national team this summer won the batting title in the Hoofdklasse with a .400 batting average (OBP .462/SLG .500) in 35 games.
Best OPS: Bryan Engelhardt 1.018
Most Home Runs: Bryan Engelhardt 6 (led league)
Most RBI: Bryan Engelhardt 36 (led league)
Most Runs Scored: Bryan Engelhardt 37 (3rd in league)
Most Stolen Bases: Bryan Engelhardt 16 (led league)

Best Pitcher: David Bergman. The right-hander had a 12-1 record with an ERA of 1.38 in 15 games (14 starts) for Kinheim. He struck out 100 batters in 97 2/3 innings, while walking 19.

Best ERA Reliever: Nick Stuifbergen 1.93
Most Strikeouts: David Bergman 100 (led league)
