2010 in Review – Dutch Hoofdklasse – Mr. Cocker HCAW

After starting into the annual review season with the Italian Baseball League, we’re continuing with the Dutch Hoofdklasse.

Mr. Cocker HCAW

2010 Record: 19-23
2010 Ranking: 5th place in Dutch Hoofdklasse after regular season. Mr. Cocker HCAW missed the playoffs in the Hoofdklasse mainly due to an eleven-game losing streak from June 5th to 27th and had to settle for fifth place in the end. They easily maintained their spot in the league with a clean three-game sweep over the Almere Magpies in the playdowns.
Runs Scored: 174 (5th)
Runs Allowed: 210 (5th)

Best Batter: Wuilliuans Vasquez. The Venezuelan outfielder batted a second-best .376 with a league-leading On-Base-Percentage of .472 (SLG .479) 23 runs scored and 28 RBI in 32 games.

Most Home Runs: Wuilliuans Vasquez, Bart Gabriels, Adrian Anthony, Randy Daal 1

Best Pitcher: Roger Luque. The Venezuelan came to HCAW during the middle of the season and went 3-3 with an ERA of 3.17 in ten appearances (five starts) on the mound. He struck out 61 batters in 54 innings, while walking 18.
