2010 in Review – Austrian Baseball League – Schwechat Blue Bats

After looking at the 2010 season in Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, France, the Czech Republic and Belgium, now up at the plate is the Austrian Baseball League.

Schwechat Blue Bats

2010 Record: 12-16
2010 Ranking: 7th place in Austrian Baseball League after regular season. The Schwechat Blue Bats had a nice season in the ABL, missing the playoffs by a mere three games. They had to play a relegation/promotion series versus the Dornbirn Indians, but prevailed to secure their spot in the 2011 campaign.

Best Batter: Julio Diaz. He batted .336 (OBP .386/SLG .500) with three homeruns, a triple, eight doubles, 26 runs and 24 RBI in 28 games.
