Even though we already started the year 2010, we will continue to look back at the 2009 season in Europe’s elite leagues. After the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Germany, Czech Republic , Sweden, Austria and France we will continue with the Belgian First Division.

Brussels Kangaroos

2009 Record: 10-18
2009 Ranking: Fifth place in Belgian First Division after the regular season. During the playdowns the Kangaroos won just two out of eight games and finished seventh in the final standings. They won a relegation series against the Gent Knights, but the club still decided to withdrew the team from the First Division to rebuild in a lower division.
Runs Scored: 151
Runs Allowed: 277

Best Batter: Rosario Angel William. He batted .379 (OBP .464/SLG .568) with three homeruns, nine doubles, 16 runs scored and 27 RBI.
Best OPS: Rosario Angel William 1.032
Most Homeruns: Harold Castillo 7
Most RBI: Manuel Martinez 32
Most Runs Scored: Aneudy Rafael Duran Garcia 46
Most Stolen Bases: Aneudy Rafael Duran Garcia, Luis Valdez 22

Best Pitcher: Eric Theisen. He had a 5-2 record with an ERA of 4.09 in 2009. He struck out 78 in 77 innings, walking 17.
Best ERA: Eric Theisen 4.09
Most Strikeouts: Eric Theisen 78
Most Walks: Cedric De Smedt 94
Most Innings Pitched: Cedric De Smedt 122.1
