2009 in Review – Austrian Baseball League – Dornbirn Indians

Even though we already started the year 2010, we will continue to look back at the 2009 season in Europe’s elite leagues. After the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Germany, Czech Republic and Sweden, we will continue with the Austrian Baseball League.

Dornbirn Indians

2009 Record: 5-23
2009 Ranking: 8th in Austrian Baseball League after regular season. In the relegation/promotion playoffs the Indians finished with a 5-7 record as fourth of four teams and got relegated into the second division in Austria.

Runs Allowed: 369

Best Batter: Joachim Frick. He batted .347 (OBP .466/SLG .537) with one homerun, two triples, eleven doubles, 31 runs scored and 22 RBI in 26 games.
