2011 in Review – Spanish Division de Honor – Baseball Navarra

We’ve led off our statistical reviews of the 2011 season in Europe’s baseball leagues with the Netherlands, Italy and Germany. In the clean-up spot the Spanish Division de Honor.

Baseball Navarra

2011 Record: 12-24
2011 Ranking: 8th place in Spanish Division de Honor. After competing for the championship and qualifying for the Copa del Rey in 2010, Baseball Navarra did a step back, playing a disappointing 2011 season. They managed just a dozen wins in 36 games, dropping to 8th place in the final standings.
Runs Scored: 185 (7th)
Runs Allowed: 196 (7th)

Best Batter: Adolfo Gonzalez. He batted .471/.564/.746 with six homeruns, three triples, 14 doubles, 41 runs scored and 32 RBI in 36 games.

Best Pitcher: Hector Perozo. Mainly pitching out of the bullpen he went 1-7 with an ERA of 2.86 in 15 appearances (two starts). He struck out 26 batters in 34 2/3 innings, walking just four.
Best ERA Starting Pitcher: Juan Jose Lopez 3.42
Best ERA Reliever: Hector Perozo 2.86
Most Strikeouts: Juan Jose Lopez 116
Most Walks: Juan Jose Lopez 48
Most Innings Pitched: Juan Jose Lopez 113.0
