The Zurich Challengers won the 2018 Swiss Baseball Championship. They beat the Therwil Flyers 11-9 in the decisive fifth game of the final series on Saturday. A two-run home run by Jesus Manuel Martinez Martin in the top of the ninth inning broke a 9-9 tie en route to the victory. Tobias Siegrist pitched the last 2 1/3 innings to pick up the win in relief. David Castillo homered twice for the Flyers and drove in five.
