The Zurich Barracudas rebounded from their first season loss to the Luzern Eagles by holding the Jona Bandits hostage in Zurich taking both games by the score of 14-0 and 15-2 moving them into 1st place with a 6-1 record. In game 1, Andi Rüesch took the mound and shut down the Bandits throwing five strong innings while Nderim Coma finished up for the shutout. The Barracudas pounded out 14 hits with Sascha Litscher leading the attack with two hits and four rbi’s. Jeroen Hermans, Strahil Georgiev, Philip Reger and Harry Wischnewski all chipped in with multiple hit game to aid the Barracuda’s Offense.
In game two it was the Colorado kid Simon Steffen who shut down the Bandits with four strong innings getting relief support from Chris Michals and Josh Crouse. The Barracudas offense continued to with their hot batting pounding out 12 hits with Josh Crouse and Nderim Coma combining for six hits and seven rbi’s.
The Barracudas are off next week but travel to face the Luzern Eagles in two weeks.
