Right-handed pitcher Yulman Ribeiro, born in Venezuela, but in possession of a Portuguese passport, will leave Fortitudo Bologna to join defending Italian Baseball League champion T&A San Marino. The club confirmed the transaction on its website on Tuesday. The 27-year-old is pitching in Europe since 2008. After one season with CB Viladecans in the Spanish Division de Honor, he made the jump to the IBL. In 2011 he went 1-2 with three saves and an ERA of 0.98 in 16 relief appearances for Bologna. He struck out 30 batters in 27 2/3 innings, walking ten.
