The French Baseball National Team closed out the Yoshida Challenge 2019 with a 7-6 comeback win against Japan. It was their first win in five games this week. On Sunday afternoon Japan led for most of the game. France erased a 0-2 deficit in the bottom of the eighth thanks to a two-run double by Andy Paz. However Japan answered with four runs in the top of the ninth. In the bottom half of the frame though France rallied for five runs to win the contest. Maxime Lefevre had a bases clearing double to tie the game in the process, while Frederic Hanvi came through with a walk-off RBI single.
