25-year-old right-hander Yorfrank Lopez is joining the Tenerife Marlins in the Spanish Division de Honor for the 2016 season. The Venezuelan spent six seasons in the Detroit Tigers farm system between 2009 and 2014 with an ERA of 4.61 in 111 games (65 starts). This winter he played in the Liga Paralela in Venezuela and also got a call up into the Venezuelan Winter League to play for Tiburones de la Guaira. During the playoffs of the Italian Baseball League in 2015 he played for Tommasin Padua.
