The World All Stars dominated the Australian Baseball League All Star Game showdown against the Australian National Team on Wednesday, winning 6-0. Nine hurlers, including Mike Ekstrom, Jack Frawley and Nick Pugliese combined to keep Australia to four hits in nine scoreless innings.
Richard Olson, Craig Anderson, Justin Erasmus and Brendan Wise were among the pitchers to take the mound for Australia. Ryan Casteel and Joe Sclafani had two RBI apiece for the World All Stars. Jon Berti scored twice. Three runs in the fifth and two in the sixth decided the outcome in Melbourne.
The Australian Baseball League continues with a full game day this weekend. Canberra squares off with Perth, Adelaide takes on Brisbane and Melbourne plays against Sydney.
