Two games were played at the World Port Tournament 2019 in Rotterdam, Netherlands on Saturday. In the afternoon Japan edged out Curacao 4-3. Curacao took a quick 2-0 lead, but Japan tied the score until the end of the sixth inning. Curacao then regained the lead in the eighth, but Team Nippon put two runs on the board in the ninth to secure the victory.
In the evening game host Netherlands lost 0-5 to the selection of former Major League and Minor League players. Josh Colmenter allowed just one hit in five innings. Cole Devries and Bo Schultz completed the shutout in relief. Orlando Yntema issued eight hits, four runs and a walk through 3 1/3 innings in the loss.
