Venezuela defeated Columbia for the second time in four days on Saturday. They beat them 15-7. It is also their second win in the first Latin American and Caribbean Baseball League. The host tallied 18 hits and won easily against the weakest team of the tournament. At least the Columbian Offense showed some life with seven runs on nine hits. Both teams had some major miscues in the match as well. Venezuela had five of the seven errors on their side.
The league continued its play on Sunday evening with a duel between Cuba and Columbia. Venezuela and Cuba will meet for a final time on Monday to conclude the event. Both will play at the upcoming World Cup in Taipei in group b against the Netherlands, Germany, Korea, Thailand, Australia and Canada.
