The top six at the 2015 Women’s Softball European Championship in Rosmalen, Netherlands are known. The Netherlands, which won the elusive duel 1-0 against Italy, the Squadra Azzurri, Russia, Czech Republic, Great Britain and Austria qualified for the next phase. Another set of crossover games will be played with the top four advancing to the page playoffs.
Eva Trevisan played her 200th international game for Italy against Spain. The 35-year-old short stop born in Gorizia (Friuli) on April 21, 1980 and played her first international game in 1996. During the present Italian season 2015 she plays for Blue Girls Bologna. Prior to Italy’s matchup against the Netherlands she got honored in a short ceremony and got orange flowers and Italian words from Mister-Baseball’s correspondent Pim van Nes.
The first decision for the final standings will take place on field two on Thursday afternoon, when Germany and Spain battle for seventh place. Live play by play is available through the ESF Website.
