The 2015 Women’s Softball European Championship in Rosmalen, Netherlands started on Sunday with the first games of the first round. Despite a couple of rain delays in the morning all games were put in the books.
France and Great Britain started the 20-team tournament with two wins each. In the official opener in the evening the Netherlands downed Germany easily to demonstrate their favorite status. 16 games are back on the schedule on Monday. The first round continues through Tuesday afternoon. Afterwards the top eight will advance to the medal round.
