Just a few weeks after announcing that Caracas, Venezuela (June 23 – July 2) will host the 2010 Women’s Softball World Championship, the International Softball Federation (ISF) has awarded the 2012 tournament to Whitehorse, Canada. The capital from Yukon previously hosted the Junior Men’s Softball World Championship in 2008. 16 teams will play in the ten-day event, which is tentatively scheduled for July 2012.
