The Solingen Alligators have to look for a new import pitcher for game two in the German Baseball-Bundesliga. Wes Edwards asked for termination of his contract to return to the United States to take care of family problems. The Alligators already experienced something similar last season, when Jadd Schmeltzer left midway through the year. Wayne Ough then returned and since the 2017 season has taken over as head coach in Solingen.
